San Shou or San Da (“free-fighting”) is taught at A.C.M.A. as a form of training designed for combat sports. Classes are for seasoned students and include extensive one-on-one training in full-contact kicking, punching, clinching, sweeping and throwing, as well as close-in work with the knees and elbows. The training methods are extremely demanding but produce results quickly.
Sport fighting experience can be a valuable facet of an individual’s overall training as it allows one to experience pushing to the edge of one’s limits, and teaches us to not only perform, but excel through the fog of pain, fatigue and the pressure that comes along with putting everything on the line.
